The DRIVER 3.0 features a slightly increased tail rocker and a deeper double-to-single concave through the back half compared to its predecessor, the Driver 2.0. The deck line in the tail area is more pronounced, with lower, boxier rails designed to follow the bottom curve and glide smoothly through the water.
More concave means more lift and more rocker along the rail line. More lift means more speed. More rail rocker means more curvefor tighter, more explosive turns.
Weve slightly narrowed the board between the feet, adding grip and stability to the overall outline.
The round tail is fairly wide and forgiving under the back foot, but the last few inches pull in enough to add confidence and hold in the pocket.
To balance these design elements (added tail rocker, narrower outline, spoon-shaped deck, and increased rail rocker), weve carried a bit more width through the front outline and added volume to the forward section. This extra front-end volume adds glide and a more responsive drive off the front foot.
The DRIVER 3.0 is thicker overall (for paddle power and momentum) but has a higher-angle V deck that sheds volume and ends in a moderate, yet round and forgiving, rail.
Overall, the dimensions and volumes are noticeably a bit more generous.
As with everything else in the boards design evolution, its a direct response to feedback from our elite-level team riders.
The DRIVER 3.0 represents the status quo of high-performance, professional-level surfing today. Developed with input, testing, and feedback from many of the best surfers in the U.S. and around the world, it has been proven in the worlds premier surf spotsyet designed with enough built-in volume and speed to be a practical tool in any surfers quiver.
